“Chivas Regal” The treasure of blended whisky!
Chivas Regal is one of the best luxury blended Scotch whisky and possibly one of the most popular brand names worldwide including Japan. There aren’t many people who have not heard of this name. The most recent campaign organized by Chivas Regal during 2018 winter season was a hotly discussed topic. Let’s find out more about this exciting event below.
Scotch whisky is one of the many types of traditional whisky. Among the blended Scotch whiskies, Chivas Regal is the most prestigious with over 200 years of excellent global market reputation. The whisky’s taste is rich and mellow making it smooth to swallow with lingering notes of floral and fruits. This Scotch whisky is appreciated across the globe and is enjoyed in over 150 countries.
There are three Chivas Regal that represent the brand’s proud heritage.
Chivas Regal Mizunara 12 years
The Chivas Regal Mizunara is a special Scotch whisky blended by Chivas Regal for Japanese whisky lovers. This special blend is characterized by the fine finishing with the barrel which is made from Mizunara (Mongolian oak) of Japanase origin. And it has a native essence of a fruity and sweet delicate flavor. You can enjoy the smooth and long reverberating effect of this drink, delighting your palate.
Chivas Regal 12 years
This is the flagship product symbolizing not only the brand of Chivas Regal but also Scotch whisky. With a rich and smooth taste, the fragrance of herbs and fruits give it a creamy texture that you can savor in your mouth.
Chivas Regal 18 years
This richly flavoured super premium signature of Chivas Regal has received the gold medal in the worldwide alcoholic competition. There is the layered aroma of dried fruit, vanilla fudge and spices that bring out the elegant flavors and gentle sweet body. This drink is characterized by a smooth and well balanced finish that lingers in your mouth.

The event “SUCCESS IS A BLEND – Blend teaches success” focused on “Blend” that is the essence of “Chivas Regal”. The campaign aimed to send out the message “Art of blending” where success is better when there is someone to share it with. The special event launch at Japan was a great place to find out how to drink Chivas Regal and enjoy the different cocktails and gourmet food.
The event was held at “Mercedes me Tokyo UPSTAIRS”, a restaurant on the 2nd floor of Mercedes Benz’s complex in Roppongi, Tokyo. There were some special menu that collaborated with the Chivas Regal three brands at the event.
Let’s check out some of the notable menu items prepared for the media and the guests. The first whisky cocktail is mixed with the Chivas Regal Mizunara 12 years.
Next drink on the menu was the Chivas Regal 12 years.
Chivas Regal 18 Years was the last featured whisky on the event menu.
Other than the unique original cocktails and pairing food on the menu, there was also a limited period project called “CHIVAS THE BLEND” where you could craft your own blended whisky at selected bars. For this project, workshops were conducted for anyone who wished to learn how to blend whisky and the techniques used to blend Chivas Regal. One could also understand and taste malt whisky and grain whisky during the blending session.
For those who did not get to attend the event, there was also an online contest segment called “Your STORY BLENDER” where you could upload the images of your blending story through answering a few simple questions. It was a great idea specially for promoting the brand on social networking sites.
The limited period “Chivas Regal” campaign had various other creative events to showcase the charms of their blended Scotch whisky. The participants were able to try the special menu up til 10 January 2019 and submitted their creative ideas online by 31 January 2019.
Beer and sake are also good alcoholic drinks, but why not experience the blended Scotch whisky during this new year rather than the usual stuff!
